Experimental Bellamy Type A

The Bellamy 'A' (after Captain Bellamy) was an Experimental
Grenade
tested in the 1918 trials for a small allways impact
grenade that could also be launched from the 2 inch cup
discharger
and scored pretty well alongside the CSOF ( Chief
Superintendent of Ordnance Factories)
grenade, but the
official selection was in the hands of the old school.
Unsurprisingly the CSOF grenade was selected and became
the No 54.
