L84A1 Red Phosphorous
	This is a bursting type smoke grenade which replaced the No 80 white phosphorous. The alloy body is scored internally so the body breaks up evenly to aid in the dispersion of the filling which is in the form of hundreds of paper discs impregnated with red phosphorous. this gives an instant smoke cloud upon detonation without the dangerous burning lumps that was common with white phosphorous grenades.
