M1914/30
				this gren was an improvement on the 1ww M1914. It had a U shaped fuze that was inserted in the top and held in place by the spring clip. To use the small round lever on the side was pulled down and the safety catch slid across to hold the striker. Then the spring loaded trigger in the handle was hooked on to the loop on the bottom of the striker and squeezed against the handle to cock the striker fully. To use the safety catch was released and the grenade thrown keeping hold of the ring on the handle. The trigger would then release the striker and activate the fuze. detonating the grenade 5-6 seconds later.
